Are you enjoying the glass, transparent icons?
I’m really curious about it, some people seem to hate them and other people seem to love them, and I’m not sure where I will be the day I update my devices…
I’m in the love camp! The Liquid Glass visuals are stunning imo with new design tweaks all over the new software.

That clock size/font looks neat.

As for the icons, once I went big, I never looked back. It was one of the reasons why I jumped early onto iOS 18. Although to be honest, if I had the option to have the small/normal icons without the app names, I’m not sure what I’d choose.

Luckily we have more options than ever to customize the Home Screen!

I am trying to like them. I have a couple of apps that aren't cooperating with the clear glass icon look: Tapatalk and there's an Ancestry.com widget. Otherwise, I'm forcing myself to use the clear icons for a bit.

Good God. These examples are like life in a sandstorm. Why would Apple think anyone would choose that?

For how locked down and stubborn Apple is for certain core UI "misses" still, how can they instead offer user-assignable options like these monochromatic liquid glass dumbness?

Can’t decide between staying on iOS 18 or downloading iOS 26 Developer Beta as this is my only iPhone and it would cause me massive grief if anything should go wrong
I've run every beta since iOS 7 on my only phone and haven't had any real issues aside from slightly shortened battery life. At this point iOS 26 is more than stable enough to use on a daily driver.
