You can get the icons via this link

http://suavehd.xengi.org/

Then either download the theme or just the icons and SSH them into your phone, replacing icon@2x.png in the /var/stash/Applications/Mobile Safari (or Preferences after Applications for settings) folder with the new icon also named icon@2x.png. I change the name of the default to icon@2x_default.png, then can easily change back when you want just by changing the file names. All the icons you asked about are Suave HD icons.

The home screen dot, you have to download Lockinfo from cydia, and enable it for "Homescreen" - see my screenshot in my last post in this thread for how your settings should read to have the Home page icon. I believe it's Page Indicator set to on that enables this.

Thanks for the guidance, I'm getting the icons and will look into lockinfo but i had some problems with it before.

Anyways how about the transparent dock? and where should I SSH into to place it.

Thanks
AE

I don't remember exactly where I got the dock image, I believe I downloaded the Classica 3 theme, and that dock was in the theme somewhere.

To SSH the dock in I went to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app and the dock image file is SBDockBG@2x.png

Is it safe to SSH any icons over top of the stock icons? I have a friend who did it with this Suave and things seem to be working fine but I've heard it can cause problems later...I don't know how it would though.

Although, all his App Store Icons have a black border around them, anyone know how to fix this?

Hi

I dont have a link, you can probably find on inside the Cydia app, as soon as you open the app, I think I saw something about SSH and how to use it.

But here is what you need to get started.

You will need to download an app called "OpenSSH" from cydia.

Also you want to change the default password once you download that app. I dont know how to do it through cydia, but after installing OpenSSH and went to ROCK app, it prompted me to change it there and I did.

Then turn wifi on, and go download a program (win/mac osx) depending on what you use like cyberduck or transmit. I use Transmit and I really enjoy it.

Then set up connection on that program that you downloaded. You want to either search for SSH explanation or try to figure that part out yourself.

To set up the connection on that program you will need to know the following:

Your iPhone's IP (using SBSettings or go into settings-wifi and click the arrow)

You will need to make sure the connection type is SFTP not FTP.

You will use username: root & password: alpine (default) or if you set up a password on rock then use that one.

Once connected and in you will see folders and so on. To make changes to application icons, private/applications/(x.app as an example). I'm just giving you this of the top of my head, so the directory might be slightly different.

Anyways play around there but DON'T DELETE ANYTHING WITHOUT BACKING IT UP.

Thanks & hope this helps you,
AE

Can you please provide a link to that background?

Anyone can help me with this? I am using the SuaveHD icons to change my stock icons. the only problem I am having is getting the Todo icon working (I am using the Things icon right now).

I noticed that the names of the others had a icon@2x.png name. When I went into my Todo app folder, There are two files associated with changing the icons, "Todo.png" and "Todo-rounded.png". I've replaced both with the "Things" icon but I get a black border around it. Anyone know how to get rid of that black border?

Thanks for any help

1. I don't see the correlation between hating on Winterboard and hating on jailbreaking in general.

2. I've used Winterboard on a 3g and a 3GS, Winterboard slowed my 3g, not so bad on the 3gs, but still slowed my iPhones. I don't know what it's like using it with the iPhone4 and I really don't care. I choose not to use it.

If you're happy with Winterboard, then use it. No need to get all fussy about people who choose not to use it.

1) The correlation is that they both are knocking it before they try it.

2) Your choice.

I don't mean to be fussy, my only beef was that people are saying they don't use Winterboard because it's buggy, then they proceed to use programs that are substantially more buggy.

Enough derail though.

I think Winterboard itself is not buggy, but depending on which themes/tweaks you install on your iPhone, it can get really really buggy and slow down your phone

where could i get that biteSMS icon?

In the biteSMS forum someone posted up various different alternate icons, both retina and non-retina. I tried to get you the link but I get an error when trying to access the General section of the forum. I think it might be down.

I've been SSH'ing the Suave icons into my phone to replace the stock icons butSi can't seem to find all of the stock icons within my phone.

I've gone to /var/stash/Applications/ and replaced the ones that I could find there but for example Pandora is not listed there and neither is Facebook (as well as countless others).

Is there another spot I need to check for the icon files for all of the apps that don't appear in /var/stash/Applications/ ?

Thanks.
