I may just replace the wallpaper.png file if its that bad.

Not to get off track here, but who's the girl?

With the WeatherFurik.theme? yes i modified it so u can select the wallpaper u want from ur phone, but the only issue right now, is when you do that, u have to respring...

nice work cougar...i deleted the original and sshd your tweaked theme in and voila,i can now change wallpapers with a respring!

thanks!

I asked this a page back, but it's so crowded in here and maybe you can help. I enter the code for my city, but I'm still getting weather for Laredo. Can someone hook me up with step-by-step instructions? I've read through and can't seem to find them...

--- Nevermind-- I just got it. Thanks anyway!

go to /private/var/stash/Themes/WeatherFurik.theme/Private/WeatherWidget/Private folder

when you get there,open configureMe.js (there are two of these,be sure you are in the weatherwidget/private folder,not just the first private folder,there are TWO of these configureMe.js)

personally i edited BOTH the configureMe.js to be certain weather works!,it cant hurt.

near top you see this:
// The location field should be a relatively machine-legible string
// if using the default, Apple/AccuWeather parser (originally from Leopard's Weather.wdgt)
var locale = '14132' //e.g. 'Defiance, Ohio'|'Moscow, Russia'|'Ledyard, AT'|'London, UK'|"USNY0996"

enter your Zipcode after Var locale = with quotes "XXXXX" (see how i added "14132" for my city)

Now go down to bottom where you see this:

// The other available source is 'yahooWeather' which for the 'locale'
// requires a US zip or location code (e.g. UKXX0085 or CHXX0008) from http://weather.yahoo.com
var source = 'yahooWeather' //'appleAccuweatherStolen'|'yahooWeather'

and edit Var source to say 'yahooWeather'

this works as long as you live in a city that yahoo weather uses USA zipcodes for.

once edited,be sure to save those changes.

let me know how it works

That's what I ended up doing. I didn't see the second configure me file... Thanks so much to typing this all out.

Some things need to be redone and some things are unfinished, but I think getting the weather/time widget working was the biggest hurdle, and I have the contributors in this thread to thank. Good work!

Of course, as soon as this is finished and I'm satisfied with it, I'll post everything you need to get your phone looking like this, for anyone who wants it.

how'd u remove the Date N Time n move it to the center? What file did u mess with?

He said he'll tell us exactly how to do everything once it's complete. I can't wait ^_____^

It looks awesome!

also a quick note for those cannot get weather to work properly....

if you do what i described above entering your zipcode....and it still does not work. It might be because yahoo weather does not recognize your city by zipcode.

ive seen several citys not work this way...

what you do is go to http://weather.yahoo.com/

now type in your zipcode and see if yahoo has your city there....if it does,then click the RSS FEED orange button on upper right....now you will see in your address bar something like this example:

http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?p=TUXX0039&u=f

if your city shows up,and you see this example above....copy and paste the RED PART into the configureMe.js folder within weatherwidget/private.

for some reason many citys on yahoo dont work with zipcode,however they do work with the yahoo code which is in the address bar of RSS FEED page.

So...next step is the font. Does anyone know the font used in "that one screenshot"? (i think we all know by now what this references)

AMAZING work but can I request that when you realise everything individually :)
I'm asking as I don't want to use the font for example. Also will the background wallpaper work with 4x4?

Don't worry, when I release everything it will be split up into sections like wallpaper only, dock only, icons only, font, widget, etc, and then probably my custom Suave HD.theme file that will have everything all together.

One thing I'm curious about...if I want the widget to display a custom font (I found out it's called ubuntu titling, btw), since it's done through html and css, does that mean my iPhone needs to have that font set as its default? I'd love to have the widget show a custom font but leave the rest of the phone untouched, as I understand that changing the iphone font changes it EVERYWHERE.
