I only use the case for certain activities (like gym, hiking, beach, etc). For normal use, I don't use cases. I go naked.

That is what I probably will do, the grip and handling ability of the JB is just too good to keep the back covered all the time.

I went for a rather cheap case so it is not like I will have no protection at all and I wasted money.

Here's my Spigen thin fit in glossy black. Looks incredible on the jet black phone, but also makes it ridiculously slick and easy to drop. Feels very protective, clearly made of poly carbonate. Corners are well protected but bottom and top are exposed. There's a nice lip around the screen, should be fine when laying face down.

I also have the Apple leather case in black and silicon case in black, they are both excellent quality and superb fit. I also expect these Apple cases to be much more protective than the one pictured here. But the glossy black Spigen may be the sexiest of the bunch.

Do all clear cases make the JB look duller? I've bought 3 clear case, including the Spigen Crystal Liquid case and they all make the JB look duller. No clear case that truly shows the full Jet Black of the phone and not a dull version of it?

I had the same problem... have tried 3 clear cases including the spigen, and they all look like crap! I'm using an apple white silicone now and it looks amazing. If anyone finds a clear that works let us know!!!

Bought that jet black Spigen case. I must say I'm blown away. It's beautiful, it's thin, it has a lip for the camera and the screen. I have no clue how they manage to keep the case so thin while adding those lips for the camera and screen but it's impressive. Beautiful case.

I got the UAG Plasma case in the Magma color, it has a deep red color with the Jet Black inside it that I really like. The only negative with this case is they cheap'd out and left the cutout for the 3.5mm jack in the molding for the bottom, in other words they are just re-using their iPhone 6S case for the iPhone 7.

One other change compared to the even older iPhone 6 version of the case is they removed the 2 square holes that used to be on the back of the case near the logo, not sure if those helped with cooling before, they likely removed them to reduce dirt/water entry behind the phone.

(Sorry for the blurry pics, had to take photos with an old point-and-shoot camera.)

Does installing/removing this case casuse any damage to the JB finish at the sides? It is a stunning case for sure.

I'm using the RhinoShield for my JB. I love it as its the only case that allows the lovely JB to shine through in my opinion. I don't have a photo as the iPhone is my only camera, but here's a link to the site & amazon. I love this case so far!

So you JUST have a bumper? I need something on the back to protect form scratches, but I don't want anything sticking to the finish of the JB. The struggle continues....

Why would you use a case to hide the beauty of the jet black?

Just get a naked transparent skin wrap to protect the back, temper glass screen protector for the front.

Applying the naked transparent skin wrap would be fine on the back but when you will remove it even after a day it will take away the writing on the back that say the iphone and designed by apple in california with it . It will be nearly impossible to see iphone writen on the back afterwards , this problem is faced by a lot of people . I owning an jet black iphone 7 is looking for an alternative to this problem .

I tried using all the transparent and semi-transparent cases that I used to have on my old Matt Black on my new JB, but they all looked awful!!
Completely ruined the JB look while they used to enhance the Matt Black.
Anyways, I ended up applying my JB iPhone 7 Plus with a Crystal Liquid coat (similar to Nano-Ceramic) which protects the phone from scratches up to 70% but turned out slippery and ruined the JB grip advantage.
I finally applied a Naked Skin on the back with a Glass Screen protector and while the grip is fantastic, It does not look at smooth as I know the JB looks.

Here are some pics for your thoughts.

I bought a Power Support crystal film screen protector and a Power Support Air Jacket clear case for the body. Unfortunately, there are oil-like bubbles showing up on the back between the iPhone 7 Jet Black and the case.

Try a similar case that has micro dots inside that prevents the oil-like marks.

I'd recommend the Spigen Liquid Crystal.

Yup happens on my Ringke case as well. Common problem with Jet Black. Trying to find a nice case for Jet Black that shows the back is a hassle at this point.
