I took a friend from London to his first Baseball game when Mets beat the Phillies. Ended up with another English Mets fan by the end of the evening...

I just ordered my daughter a 13" MBP. It is the base model with the 8GB RAM upgrade. She is a sophomore in high school, so I think this will get her through graduation. This will be her first Mac. She is still using a Dell 13" running Vista that is way past it's prime. I figured that she has suffered enough with that setup!

which version have you got your eyes on? i actually had a choice between a 2.26 4,1 but plumped for the 3,1 after seeing both machines in action. the 2.26 4,1 actually felt slower in general use and i was not planning on upgrading the processors either. geekbenches at 12k+ so this will be sufficient unless 2013 throws up a pleasant surprise.

got this baby for a flat 1k with a brand new apple keyboard and mouse thrown in for good measure.

Picked up the 2012 MBP13 last month (core i7). Plan on picking up a 16gb pair of memory for it soon to give a bit more memory to windows virtual machines, but 8gb is working pretty well so far. Any suggestions?

Finally after sometime, i did it, i pulled the trigger.

Long story short it was a purchase made ​​in 5 minutes, 5 minutes before the store closes ... at midnight, went to the cinema 20min later to see Batman the dark knight rises, awesome movie.

Although it's the iPad2 and not the new iPad, the money is short (in 3 weeks i'm getting married), so i consider this to be a present from us to us

I'm quite surprised because she is absolutely delighted, as she claimed to have been a great buy.
