Post Your Last Purchase XXVIII

Because using a manual 400mm lens only allows you so many opportunities when shooting fast and twitchy birds. At least now I'll stand a chance!

I'm looking forward to the steep learning curve as it will require completely different techniques as compared to using the old manual lens. Hopefully it should be a lot easier now.
I'm sure it will. The range of shots I was able to get once I got my 200-500 Nikon increased dramatically. As did the weight in my camera bag!

When you work out how to do it let us know. I had to turn my AF off on my camera, choke it down for deep dof and hoped I zone focussed right... I hope at longer distances to the subject then the AF will help...

And OI! My GAS is building nicely thank you without this!

Erm, how Ti (Lung) whipped am I?
DBS lobbies 2.jpg

Enough to lay down a good amount of coin for a set of duel-battered Hong Kong Deadly Breaking Sword lobby cards.

It's the mustache I guess.

:p

at least the Empress Dowager photo set I purchased with this came in for a song.

The guy that has a mustache is that the same actor the does the role of Uncle in Chackie Chan's Drunken Master?

No. Perhaps you're thinking of Drunken Master II (a.k.a. Legend of Drunken Master)? Ti Lung played Jackie's father in that.

So...I'm looking into Asian beauty care now (and am testing out the Jade Gua Sha face tools), but couldn't resist trying these Korean facial masks out because well why not?

Bats and bubbles? Sure. I also bought two other masks (a panda eye mask and another), but anything that can make skin care fun is right on with me.

Over the past week, I've sourced a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen iPod for my collection. All disassembled, cleaned, polished and fresh batteries installed. New office setup will be Apple-themed with several G4s and posters on display. The iPods will take their place on a feature shelf above my desk. Now to score a 5th gen at a decent price, and a 1G when the prices come down.

Hands down the 3rd gen is my favorite! Love the red/orange lighted buttons
