BRAND NEW IN THE BOX 1986 MAXIM MX939 BOOMBOX.

Spotted this on eBay the other night, a brand new in the box unused 1986 Tape deck, boxed for around 29 years and works spot on. Looks epic next to my 1984 JVC GR-C1, aka the camcorder from Back to the Future.

This looks really cool! How does it sound?

The old coffee machine gave up the ghost, so I had to replace it urgently. I came home with the bigger brothers to what I initially had. The new burr grinder is a lot slower than the old one and has more subtlety to the available variation of grinds. The coffee machine itself is so much nicer to use and has a commercial sized portafilter at 58mm. It runs two thermoblocks, one for coffee and one for steaming milk, so both can be performed at the same time, with no loss of pressure. o_O:p:cool:

Very nice! You should consider joining us in the Espresso Enthusiasts thread.

Couldn't find a UK one, but it was £1.25 which is a damn sight cheaper than the 2EUR in the pic!

My new hobby. Had her out this weekend. Restoration work started with small things like sun visors, new trunk liner, and outside door mirror. Engine seems to be ok, but this stupid ethanol fuel (E-10) garbage that is forced down our throats is killing the fuel lines. Old cars don't like "diet" gas. They want the real thing.

This is my grandmother's Seth Thomas mantel clock, from around 1930. I have always wanted this for my office, and finally was able to get it from my sister, who had it stored in a closet because it didn't work. I found a local clock maker who was able to clean and restore it to full functionality - with Westminster chimes every 15 minutes, and strikes the hour on the hour.

Very nice, I love old clocks like that. Even better you got it working again too.

Lovely story and back history and I am delighted that you managed to get it working again.

Awesome. I love coffee. I've only ever owned cheapo plastic units with a 4 cup pot, but if I had something this fancy I'd probably grow my own beans and open my own shop.

went to go buy a pair of blacked out Leather high top Converse so i can add some custom gold triangle studs but i changed my mind and ended up buying these: Puma Suede
