Memoriam (the de facto Bolt Thrower now) are releasing the rest of their demos in late January. So pre-ordered. Probably the best of all purchases made in the last two weeks.

A few board games for Christmas:
Some of those board games (the ones with historical themes) look most interesting.
I hope that you enjoy - I hesitate to use the verb 'playing' - but that you thoroughly enjoy them.
A few years ago, I bought a high quality (genuine wooden board and pieces ) version of Cluedo as a gift for the children of friends. They loved it, and used to ask that I join them whenever I visited.

We're a family of boardgamers, our collection is getting quite impressive... they provide a great way to socialize and to disconnect for a few hours. They are great for kids, and adults.
We love cooperative games the most, the onese where all the players are trying to defeat the game itself. The cool thing is that they can also be played solitaire and a player can control multiple characters.
Some examples are Pandemic (you should definitely try it, best game design ever), Dead of Winter (where one of the players could be a traitor), Ghost Stories (almost impossible to win!), and Arkham Horror (our favorite, based on HP Lovecraft's writings... but it takes about 6 to 8 hours to complete a game...). Flashpoint (in my previous post, just bought) is another coop game: we all fight together to put out a fire and save people.
A great non-coop game to try is: Ticket to Ride.
The only game I am afraid to try is Diplomacy... apparently you're going to lose many friends in real life because of that game.

Well, the historical games look intriguing.
I used to be a fan of board games, they are great fun, and I thoroughly enjoyed them as an older kid and younger teenager.
Nevertheless, I did try Diplomacy once or twice in my undergrad days - a friend had the board, and had quoted it is henry Kissinger's favourite game; however, I do seem to recall that we had to come up with a few short cuts to try to speed things up a bit.

I live in snow country and the Hills just got nailed with 3 feet so I decided to take my old snowmobile in for an oil change.
The deal was good enough on this 2016 Yamaha Viper MTX SE 141" that I bought it. The blue and white looks HOT!
If you've never ridden one snowmobiles are a riot! I've been riding them since I was 8 and even though the summer wait is long it is so worth it!
