I was bored and last week was my birthday. So celebrating it alone because of lockdown.

i bought GTA V online it’s taking forever to install. I’ll get FF7 Remake next week, probably.
I did a speed test on fast.com and the PS4 froze. I managed to update on the latest firmware and thanks god it didn’t crash.

I bought it used, the original owner kept it in great shape.
That's great!

I wish I still had mine. Though it served me well in the Marine Corps. It went with me from the desert of California, to the jungles of Okinawa, to the mountains of Korea and the Australian Outback.

But by the time I finally came home off active duty, it was ready for retirement. It ran a good race.

My last purchase was porterhouse steaks
I think I just heard a moo from that.

Just ordered (and paid for, so while it hasn't arrived, it's purchased) a new lawn mower, because the old one seems to have a burnt out (electric) motor, and at ~$150 for a new one, it's extremely unlikely I could work out and fix what's wrong with the old one (having already taken it apart once to clean and check for obvious issues) in less time-cost equivalent (i.e. the money I 'lose' not working for that time) than the new one cost.

Also some pre-mixed wall putty because the concrete walls here are developing a bunch of cracks.

Oh and look at that. Just managed to score <my family name>.family domain. I saw it a few years ago and then by the time I'd considered it, it was registered by someone else. Seems they never got around to using it, and it lapsed.

More tools for the workshop

I bought mine in the Sony store in Seoul in 2001. I loved mine as well and brought it all over the world with me while in the Army.

What might be my one Apple purchase this year.

Wow the silhouette of that gear looks almost like a slater's hammer or such of their toolbox.

Anyway who could blame you for having that on your wishlist or "almost there" list... you're in large company, I suspect. I'm still thinking about that next laptop, Air or MBP again, no clue what I might end up getting and meanwhile the mid-2012 and its so far trusty backup the mid-2009(modified) are still clunking along so I get lazy about finishing up homework and making up my mind on replacement for the 2012, kb or which is trashed so I always use a wireless w/ it.

It’s a fine piece of equipment. The best part of it, is the flexibility of it. A lot of people don’t want to jump thru hoops using it, because it’s not what they are used to. But i think’s it worth it. The new keyboard helps out if you really wanted a laptop like feel. It’s presentation is like a mini iMac, that you can withdraw the screen when you want, or you can take the whole thing with you.
