I Saw Another thread like this for the MacBook air, and one for the iMac, So Lets see the MacBook Pro Setups!

What's your setup consist of?

1. Which MacBook Pro do you have?

2. Is the MBP your main computer? Or Do you use it along with an external monitor, another computer(s),ect?

Photos of your setup welcome!

1. I have a late 2011 17" MBP. Upgraded to 8 GB ram and Crucial m4 128 GB with the stock 750 GB platter in the optical bay.

2. This is one of 3 computers I use. I have an office issue laptop (ThinkPad) and a 27" iMac (2.93 GHz with 12 GB Ram) I use the MBP at home and for all my photo editing. The iMac is for iTunes server duty primarily, and the wife uses it as her main work computer/server.

About 4 hours after I opened the box, about ready to close her back up from surgery. :)

I Love the way the inside of your looks, amazing!

Have you had any issues with running a HDD in the Optical Bay? I Heard doing it could cause problems with booting..

I saw things about issues with the SATA controller in the optical slot, so I put the SSD in the main drive slot and the OS is on that. I had it lock up a couple times, but I ran memtest and then reseated my ram and haven't had a problem since. I've never had a problem with boot up or anything. It boots cold in 13-14 seconds. I only use it for a couple hours a night, so I shut it down and power it up every day.

My MBP is used as a portable. So here it is at the front of a classroom where I teach. It gets connected to a projector and sometimes I attach a Wacom Bamboo tablet.

Also gets used various other locations. The day I got it I swapped the HD for a Seagate Maximus XT 750GB hybrid drive and went to 8GB of RAM. I also have an Incase Nylon Sleeve for transport, not shown in the picture.

Resolution is set at 1920x1080 via mini displayport to displayport kabel. Doesn't look sharp so I need to tweak it a bit.
I got the 15" MBP because I use Traktor. The screen of the 13" I own was just to small. And TSP2 Wasn't working that smoothly in my opinion. I'll definitely keep using the 13" as back-up.
USB cable sticking out of the back of the desk if I ever need to hook something up.
Still planning to get PalmGuard from Moshi seeing I put lotion on my hands a lot (not that kind of guys :p ).
I'm also slowly upgrading all my network cables to Cat6.
