I am use to windows logo with the taskbar. Statusbar and dock are confusing but I meant the bottom where you can put four apps or folders. For me everything has to be organized perfectly. I use to have four apps from Apple separate on the dock bar but now I decided to just move all the apps from Apple down to there as it makes more sense to me and all my apps are now in folders with the main apps being on the first page and the games on the second page.

At least it is not like my therapists iPhone. What a mess. Pages and pages of apps all out of order and nothing on the dock bar.

I couldn't use a homescreen like that :p My homescreen also has to be visually appealing. At least the first one, the 2nd one is where I have all the apps which I don't use on a daily base organized in in folders.

Also, the statusbar is the top bar where the statuses are shown, i.e.: WiFi, 3G, time and whatnot. The dock is just the bottom glass plate with the 4 icons.

And your therapist's phone really is a mess from what you tell us :p
