My latest iPhone 4s photos

Hey all,
I just wanted to share some photos I have recently taken. I used an app called auto stitch for the panorama shots and Pro HDR for the single shots. For the panos I used the phones standard camera in HDR mode and used touch focus and held my finger in one place for two seconds to lock the exposure & focus. That way as I pan the camera, the focus & exposure does not change until I touch the screen again. Then I opened the auto stitch app and selected "Choose pictures" and selected them from my camera roll and imported them into the app. I have the highest resolution setting set in this app and it sets them to 18mp size. For example, the full size of the pano's is: 6396 x 2476....pretty big! Large enough to print really large. The Pro HDR app is great. It really blends nicely with most subjects & scenes. There is also another great app called Average camera pro. You can get clean, noise free images with that app as it can take up to 128 photos and stacks them for a high quality photo. However the phone MUST remain completely still for those photos. Moving subjects will not show in that app, it is for still subjects only. Thats the only draw back, but still remains a good app. here are my shots, Enjoy.

Todd

Some cracking shots there mate.

Shows what you can really do when you take the time setting up the shots

Got a new photo called Pixlomatic today and got the filter pack. It's probably the best I've seen so far, has a ton of filters and frames.

The pic of the beer I took the other day and pic of the ship I found and love it.

A lot of very nice images in here!

Being new to the iPhone myself (4S), what Camera app would everyone suggest I purchase?

Seems to be a few good apps out there but thought I'd ask for some first hand advice. Pointing me in the direction of a tripod would be great as well. Thanks.

The 4S' camera is very impressive!

But it still oversaturates pictures and they don't look natural.

iPhone 4S's camera reminds me of MORE, a stop motion short where the protagonist invents goggles that when looked through make the world all cheery and colourful, when somebody is angrily shaking their hand at you, it makes them look like they're waving hello.

The camera is better than Galaxy S II's but IMO Nokia N8 is still the king of cameras.

I don't find that at all. I'd say it untouchable in low light conditions. It really does have an impressive lens

I have to disagree with that. It is an impressive lens but it does not match Nokia, especially in night conditions.

Show me pictures taken by iPhone 4S that look as good as these...

These are all taken with an N8 and are untouched.

I wish the iPhone did beat the N8, cause Symbian is terrible compared to iOS and the iPhone is a MUCH better phone, however the camera is not better.

EDIT: Here are more pictures, available at full resolution,
