Is that your multi-pass?
I think the iPhone 4S sucks.
It's great quality for a phone, but not amazing.
I was expecting to see the quality of the videos on Apple's site (you know, with the hot air balloons).
The same freedoms that protect your right to make such a ridiculous statement fortunately protect our right to bear arms. I am glad you don't and haven't felt the need to use one, nor been the victim of any crimes committed with them; however, don't take that experience to the ignorant level of assuming no one has a legitimate reason to possess a firearm.Interesting to flick through these pictures
People either photograph what is nearest to them, a watch their desk etc or their loves , like a dog or other animal.
Some then go out a take a picture of a landscape, all fairly normal I would have said. I was shocked that a couple of you broke this trend and got your weapons and arranged them perfectly like some type of glorification ceremony.
I really don't think it's nessecary to own a personal machine gun. I think the fact that some Americans need a pistol to make them feel safe is bad enough. We shouldnt have to live in a world of fear like that.
Sheesh dudes.....use the thumbnail tag on your photos. You know the tag.
Its easy, first you add a photo, then you merely at a T to the IMG in the brackets. :D[/QUOTE]
Doesn't work

Excellent. Since you're the first one to actually EXPLAIN what that means (using the TIMG tag), thank you. I edited mine above using it and it worked.
If people would just explain what they mean when they make a request instead of making smart comments, things would get done a lot easier around here. And iceterminal, I'm not being sarcastic...thank you for explaining how to do that.
interesting question, I wander if the tap the screen to focus applies to video recording as well. Unfortunately my phone is off right now, and i can't turn it back on until some account settings get fixed, but will check and update as soon as i can. The other possibility is that it simply does the whole thing for you, never showing any "focus box" when it adjusts in video. Also it could be it doesn't have a continuous auto-focus in video record mode and lastly it could be a glitch. I've been absolutely no help as i've simply pointed out every possibility. Now I'm curious, if your still online ill update you.Hey guys, does your 4S auto focus on video mode?
Before I hit the record, it does show the square auto focusing box.
It stops auto focusing when I point the camera at different distance when it is recording in video mode.
Do I have a lemon set?

Update: Actually, sorry it seems to be a glitch, but its not, theres more to it.Here is what i found on this macworld article. At least one of the scenarios i mentioned was right though, after the initial auto-focus, manually tap while recording to re-focus. It appears it is for the better and is designed to give the best experience.

As it turns out, what you're seeing is the way the iPhone's camera is supposed to work. Unlike the still camera, which does use autofocus to pinpoint your subject, the movie camera doesn't rely on autofocusif it did, you might see wild shifts of focus as you move the phone around. The intended way to use the movie side of the camera's function is to point the phone at your subject, tap on the subject to focus and get the proper light reading, and tap record. If you happen to move the phone in order to focus on something else, tap the screen lightly to attain that focus.

"But but " I hear you sputter, "my phone very definitely appears to autofocus before I take my shot." Yes, it does. It's making some effort to figure out where the subject is but it's really up to you to tap on that subject so the phone knows exactly what to do. While shooting a movie you may also see some focusing efforts, but those efforts aren't really intended to lock in on your new subject. Again, if you want to get the best focus and light performance while moving the camera around while shooting movies, tap on the screen when the new subject is lined up in the frame.
Hey thank you for your quick response. I do have an iPhone4 and it does auto focus while doing video recording. If the 4S doesn't, I'm disappointed and its going back to Apple.
I do hope it is a glitch and Apple would have a fix.
If it does macro and auto exposure, why not auto focus just like the iPhone 4.
I'm guessing it will be updated, if you do a little googling on the topic, its been reported as both. The article i referenced above was initially repairing it as a problem and then apparently updated to say thats how its supposed to be.
