Why the F do people subject themselves to this garbage. Wait a few weeks, walk in a buy a phone like a normal human. Will it kill you to use your current phone for a month?

Also, agree with other posters, most of these slobs are no-talent Asian scalpers. Behold the zero brigade.

I did it for shiiits and giggles.

And you are right about the people in line. Although I don't know their intentions. Current demographics of our line:

Asian - 60%
African American - 30%
Caucasian - 10%

Him once the store opens

It's all Asian scalpers. Period. To heck with political correctness, all of these phones already are already listed on Ebay, or will be immediately shipped overseas.

I agree, that crowd is just taking it.

He's got everyone scared. He's a bully. I just heard him bragging that he's an ex cop and when the PS2 came out they were so sought after that they had to be hidden in a warehouse and he had to guard them for weeks. HA!

Something has to be done about this portrait-mode video epidemic. Come on!

He is BASKING in his authority right now, omg.

You know what needs to be done?

F ing Apple needs to orient the camera 90 degrees clockwise(our counter clockwise) so that it is default landscaped. OR....they need to use that dam protruding camera ring as an external dial that turns 90 degrees so you can change how YOU like to orient your camera.

Love how @7s you're like "oh s***, I'm in portrait mode!" And then like "oh, s***, it's too late!" ;)

Haha, totally. I was like crap, if I turn it I'll be filming his ass only and the vid will just be all fudded up in two different orientations. It was a snap reaction to pull the phone out when he started yelling. And again I'm sitting on the ground and was in no place to start backing up. I know I broke the portrait video rule. I confess and apologize. :)

Not a bad idea in theory.

The antipathy leveled against people that choose to wait in line for something they want is fascinating.

You know nothing of my family. Based on your comments here, I doubt you'd fit in.

As for my career that no one would want, I have the flexibility to work almost universally from home, spend an amazing amount of time with my family, dogs, etc, and command a base salary that puts me in the top 1.5% of money earners in the US. If you add bonuses and stock awards, that number gets quite a bit more rarified.

I know not everyone would want a career like that, granted. But it's certainly not too shabby.

Saturday night, I'm driving a couple of hours to a nearby city, staying in a hotel, and getting up at 5am so I can run a mountain trail half marathon with several hundred other people. Honestly, that's not much different than what I'm doing now: spending an extended period of time involved in an activity that yields a result I'm searching for.

With all that money can't you just pay someone to run the marathon for you?
