I have to say im surprised at this score after seeing what a lot of people are posting.

basically i have a quad Q9300, 4gig ram, 300 gig sata drive, nvidia 8800GT 512
 
yo very one, i'm a new mac CONVERTED, but because i'm a student and the univercity give us only the windows based programme that we need, I had no other choise than partitionning my hard drive for a windows 7 partition (shame on me:D ).
systeme:
MBP 17'' 3.06GHz, 4Go RAM, 265 GO SSD, and as u know the nVidia hybrideSLI 9600M GT/9400M.
Here is my windows experience index;
Calculation : 6.6
Ram: 6.6
Aero: 6.4
Gaming : 6.4
Hd : 6.6
and maybe the calculation will score more because i really think to jump on a 8 Go RAM.
 
Everything works well in Bootcamp except the Sound of my extern speakers. Windows won't registrate them. I got a iMac (May 2008) so the sound comes out of the internal speakers. Parallels 5 is able to bring the sound to the external speakers... Strange, isn't it? :rolleyes:
 
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit running in a Parallels 5 VM.

I just beat all of your scores :D My 2009 Nehalem Mac Pro with a dedicated Intel x-25M SSD gets a 7.4 rating. My bottleneck is my GPU... but that'll change soon.

Macbook Air: 2.13 ghz (OC'd to 2.5 ghz) with the SSD, which I'm actually surprised with.

I've done the following though: stuck 4 GB RAM in, got a 500 GB HDD with 100 GB for Windows 7. I'm running 7 Pro x64 w/ Bootcamp 3.0 on (Bluetooth isn't working properly, but hey).

If you want to improve your score - get the latest drivers from Nvidia - they worked straight away for me, and bumped by Graphics and 3D Graphics scores up a bit.

Strangely, my workmates one, which runs x86 Windows 7 Pro with the same HDD gets 5.6 Primary HDD score... weird.

I must say I'm very amazed with the scores posted in this thread so far, especially compared with my own score (roughly translated from Dutch W7 64):

Overall: 5,5

Since it's only a mid 2007 MBP (2,2 C2D, 4 gig Ram, 8600m GT 128 MB, 250 G WD Black) how can this system outperform some posted scores on much newer and more powerful machines?

Especially the graphics are puzzling, I can't understand how it can get a higher score then some owners of 256mb 8600 cards or even newer ones.

This just a stock 2008 24in iMac with the 2.4GHz processor and a 1TB hard drive running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit on a Boot Camp partition.
 
Not too shabby for a first generation Macbook pro from 2006. My little Acer Aspire One 8.9" gets a 2.2 rating. :D

Win 7 experience index on Mini 2010 VMware

Using VM Fusion (regardless of Single Window mode or Unity mode), and with 8GB RAM I am getting 4.3 index. The limiting factor is the gaming graphics, at 4.3. The HD scores an impressive 7.5.

Hi all,

I've got a 2010 13" MBP (2.66) which came out of the box with 4GB of DDR3 ram (1066mhz)

As I often have many programs open, and have video encoding to do on occasion, i pulled the trigger and put 2x 4GB DDR3 1066mhz SO DIMMS into the MBP.

It runs well, with video encoding being quicker than it was before. W7 64bit pro recognizes the full 8GB, but my windows experience index is 6.3, I would have expected this to score a bit higher.

Anyone know if there is something i should do to optimize the RAM? I know WEI isnt a perfect benchmark, but its disturbing that many are getting 6.3 or more with just fast 4GBs.

I ran winsat mem in cmd, and got 6640MB/s - is this an indication of good RAM performance?

Oddly, my Windows Experience Index is higher with Boot Camp 3.1 than it was with earlier versions of Boot Camp & Vista. Updated drivers, perhaps? Anyway... my C2D iMac scores a 6.2 :D
