I'm not all that sure where to post this but could we somehow enforce a rule or recommendation that people selling/trading things in the classified section of Macrumors post an abbreviation of the country they live? That way, when we're scanning the threads we can quickly see where they're from.

Example:
AUS-FS: G5 PowerBook with MEGA RAM
or something like this where the AUS signifies I live in Australia.

I'm not sure how this could be done though. Maybe put a sticky in the classified forums or something? Dunno, it's just a thought.

I think most non-US regulars do that already. There have been quite a few FS (UK) threads for example

Might be good to encourage people to do it for all!

Yeah, you UK people are pretty good about it. 🙂

I'd love it to kick off so that everyone does it though.

two things the annoy me on this forum is the where can i get a question with out saying where they are. & posts that do give you any info on the hardware or software that is being used. this https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/115635/ is a fine example, Need help deciding on a video card!!@!@![/] not giving any info on the computer being used & then it turns out its a PC question. Both are time wasters.
