Would it be safe to place the 21 inch Imac on this table? Would it stay balanced if I slid the table

Don’t Know the weight distribution but I’d advise not to, there are mobile stands that could mount a vesa supported iMac with a tray for keyboard mouse if you need flexibility, or there are plenty of inexpensive desks that can hold the imac

I wouldn't put an iMac on a flimsy little table like that.
Unless you want to see it crash to the floor.

    Get something stronger.

It would be OK for a 2-3 lb laptop but an iMac would put the center of gravity above the table surface...tipover waiting to happen.

It's hard to judge just by looking at that photo. I agree that it appears flimsy, something designed to hold the weight of a plate of food, not a computer. Looks may be deceiving - the tubing may be fairly substantial, or not. It seems like the folding mechanism has no latch to hold it in place, so if lifted or bumped, the legs might immediately (and unintentionally) fold.

Unless someone here has personal experience with this item, people are going to hesitate about voting Yes - who wants to give risky advice when there's a minimum of $1,000 at stake?
