    Hey guys,

So like i said in a previous post i plan on getting the non 3G iPad model. I currently have a deactivated iPhone 3GS and noticed that anytime the iPhone locks it'll switch off of wifi, meaning that once i wake it up again it'll get all my push notifications that have came in from the time i last had it awake. I could find this very annoying so i'm curious- would the iPad always be connected to WiFi even when the screens not on and its locked?

The answer to that would be "extremely unlikely". Although I can't state it as fact, there is overwhelming evidence to support the exact opposite. An example would be "1 month of standby"; you would get a matter of hours if WiFi was always on.
