So i wanted a video camera and i wanted something different, i wanted those insane views that NO ones gets, anyone can film someone doing a sport, but no one can perform while they are holding a camera. So i bought an Go Pro HD hero helmet cam, haha and i am pretty impressed all round, the camera seems invincible and i have shot under almost every condition from plus 40 c to - 15 c and the winter is just starting!

Why didn't you buy an Active-i instead?

I used it for my POV ski videos last christmas, that was very cool, and the result is great.

I'm forever trying new kit, but the GoPro HD is still my hands down winner.

There's a reason why you keep seeing it turn up in shot of good TV programs. Look at the new Episode of Top Gear here in the UK tonight - the helicopter landing on top of a car - the GoPro HD was in shot quite a few times, providing footage from the front of the 'landing pad' up to the helicopter landing.

My most recent use was automotive too : I did a track day last Friday. One charge and the camera recorded my whole days action. No extra leads, no recharging or changing batteries. And to say that the ambient temperature was between -1 and 4 C, it did well to last all day.

Example : One lap of Cadwell Park, GoPro HD footage without filter / post processing. Taken from the camera and trimmed before uploading.
