So I've noticed that my macbook pro loses power even when it's off and plugged in:eek:

Last night, it was at 100% and plugged in. This morning, I powered it on (from off, not sleep) and I saw that it was down to 99%. Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

The MBP charges the battery by charging it up to pretty much 100% then letting it discharge down to ~95% then start charging it again.

So even when the green light is on to show the battery is fully charged, it might be discharging ever so slightly.

This helps preserve the battery life greatly.

How does allowing it to lose energy help battery life? I thought the 95% deal was so that it wouldn't charge if it was above 95% or higher? My mbp started out at 100%, how does it help for it to lose energy, esspecially over such a short time period?
