Power Brick Question

I had a 2007 MBP that died due to the nvidia video card issue. I got a 2012 MBP retina when they came out. never thought about it before, but I'm wondering, can i use the old power supply with my 2012 laptop.
will there be any power issues?

If your old MBP is the 15 or 17 inch then it has a 85W power supply so it will be fine, however you'll need the Magsafe to Magsafe 2 adapter.

If your old machine is the 13 inch then it wont be enough.

Only need the Magsafe adapter if the 2012 is a retina. The CMBP from 2012 does not have Magsafe2.
