'Power' button still doesn't work despite changing flex cable on 3GS!

Are you sure all the cables are secure inside the phone?

The problem is slightly different now. There is time that the button works, and time that not. What could it be?

Few areas to check:

1. Does the power button need to replaced also?
2. Did you replace the flex cable? Even if you did, check if the cable is in good shape. This cable is easily damaged
