My new MBPs power button is recessed by about 1mm and isnt completely flush with the casing. Is it just me?

Thanks!

How can we tell if it is just you? Do you mean you want to know if ours are like that? My is somewhat like that, I think it is meant like that so you can feel it in the dark.

It's about a sheet of paper's thickness recessed.

Even if yours is more, who cares? Does it work..if so, it's fine.

It's not just you, mine is recessed too....
But I think that's put there deliberately and even if it isn't it doesn't really matter, as long as it works correctly for you.

I heard power buttons that were recessed at least 1MM in the new Macbook Pro's have a higher chance of faulting out during the 2nd quarter of 2010.

You do realize 1mm is HUGE right? It's more like 0.1mm recessed.

From where?

I am pretty sure its a joke guys... Think about it, how would he know that they were going to fail 1 quarter from now... He is making a joke about the OCD of the OP...

To the point OP, there is nothing wrong everyone's power button is recessed, you are not the only one, if your power button isn't recessed you probably have a problem. 😛

I can't imagine anybody on her having OCD about there machine? Mine is also recessed, but I could care less, cause it works great.
