Hello all,

I have a macbook pro early 2011 and lately my cord will only charge when i take apart the middle part of the plug and reattach it. it will then charge until i remove my computer from the magnetic connector and try to reconnect and then i have to go through the same process.

has anyone run into this problem? its a hard one to search for specifically.

thanks-

Sounds like it's time for a new power adapter.

Apple will replace it for you if it's within one year. If your outside of the year purchase date, just make sure your nice to them and they will probably just hook you up.

Just be nice and find a associates who look nice and know what he is doing. Try not to get a new guy or he will shrub you away. Until you argue with him and he call for the manager. Then the manager replace your adapter for free. But you already been to a heated discussion you go home with mix feelings about :apple:. So make sure you scout the store, go to other store until you find the one that will replace your adapter.

Ive had mine replaced. Just because the block was cracking and separating ....

So you should not have any problems getting a replacement.
