My G4 (Quicksilver 867Mhz) didn't boot this morning - instead I heard a "clicking" sound when I tried to turn it on.

I think it's the PSU that is busted as I had the same problem with my old Performa a few years back and it had the same clicking noise. (?)

We had a thunderstorm yesterday which might explain why it broke but the mac was powered off and the power was swithed off on the extension cord, so I don't see how it's possible?

At least I was able to salvage the data by putting the harddrives into my PC.

Anyway, how much do you think it would cost to get it repaired? Should I repair it myself or go to a mac repair shop?
