I stand corrected. I was under the impression that if it didn't have Dual Layer support on it, that it couldn't read a dual layer properly. Is there anyone that could explain this, so I don't sound like I know what I'm talking about? I prefer to be correct, but I like to know why this works?

I own 3 PowerMac G5's all of different varying properties. I also own three G4's Quicksilvers/MDD... They were ALL running Leopard 10.5.8 at one point. I downgraded the G4's to 10.4.11...All of them are running some form of VLC, so its definitely possible. It's also, IMHO, the best option for codec packages and video playback.
