Hello, so i just purchased my very first MAC the other week. I picked up a used Power Mac G5 dual 2.0ghz 4gb ram 2x 250 WD HD's 6600 video card. Now i found crucial memory 2x2gb for $75 and i'm gonna get a few sets to get the ram up, but i would like to also upgrade the video card. Apples site says 6600, 6600 le, 7800gt & the FX 4500 quadro are the cards the power mac g5's came with. What are my other options that i have to upgrade to. Also are drivers needed for the video cards like on pc's? Any help would be sweet for I am loving this thing already and want to makes it run at it top level. I was thinking of grabbing 4 sets of ram to take it to its 16gb max. The board has 8slots for ram at a max of 16gb total.

Thanks

Sevan

ATI X1900
7800 GTX 512

Only for ATI cards.

4GB of ram is more than plenty unless you work with large video files.
