Was just reading about Mountain Lion on the Apple website and one thing confuses me.

Power Nap requires a Mac notebook with built-in flash storage. May require a firmware update.

Does this mean I need SSD (AKA new Macbook Pro retina)?

I think they said in the keynote that it only works on the Macbook Air and Retina Macbook Pro.

That your existing computer doesn't have a new feature that you didn't even know about until yesterday? :p

I was planning on getting the updated Macbook Pro, but can't justify paying so much for the Retina display. :(

So maybe you should contact Apple and ask them if you upgrade to a SSD later if this feature will be unlocked.

Then when they respond you can determine if this feature is "needed" or just "nice to have."

I might just do that. Thanks.
