I recently got my hands on the official Apple Lightning to USB Camera adapter for someone I know so that he could transfer video from his Android phone into his iPad. Unfortunately, life sucks sometimes and it turns out that it draws too much power. I've found no way to lift this restriction from the iPad, no way to force the phone to not charge when plugged in. Anyone have suggestions? There is literally zero talk about this on the Internet and I can't find a proper answer.
