Makes things much easier.

I got a perfect install for a PS AG on both my iPad and my iPad2 with a dry install. They were both easier to install than the Steinheil Crystal on my iPhone. There's no need to use water. They were meant to be installed dry.

I too did a wet install last month, and no problems at all.
I used the water and one tiny speck/drop of dishwasher in a hairspray bottle, and sprayed well over the ipad.. no bubbles at all. used a squeegee to remove all small bubbles.

So today I got my PS Anti-glare screen and plan on installing that and the BSE back skin tomorrow. :)

Does anyone know if you only get one shot at the dry installation? Meaning, if you completely install it with the dry method and don't like it, - can you remove it completely and re-install? perhaps even re-install using the wet method?

I thought I would give it a shot using the dry method but was wondering if the screen is trashed if you remove it for a second try (whether dry or wet).

thanks!

Yes, you can reinstall it. I have done reinstalls at a later date successfully. A couple of cautions:

1) Don't bend the film. Use a piece of scotch tape to lift the film without bending it at high angle as seen in this video:

2) If there is lint under the film, do not rub a cloth or squeegee in that area. This can cause a dent in the film.

Good luck!

Nothing wrong with the dry method if you line it up on the first try. But if you do end up having to reposition you run the chance of getting dust settling on the screen and screen protector, then you're hosed. Soap and water does the trick, just remember be gentle and remember which side is which. And while your at it, since you had to wash the darn thing, you might as well install it wet.

Thanks! I plan on installing in the bathroom full of steam to minimize dust.

And yes, - If I don't get it right the first time with the dry install - I will end up doing it wet. Just figured I'd give it a try dry the first time. The BSE back will of course be a wet install.

Thanks for the good luck wishes. I will report back after install.

i just applied mine today. Aligned on perfectly except some bubbling around the home button. I've tried using tape to remove any debris but it still persists. Does it go away with time? Or is this a defective film?

Just get a credit card and try to push them out. If it persists then contact their support.

quick post on my screen dry install today. I'll give a more thorough review later.

used the bathroom steam method. seamed to help. minimal lint. removed ALL with tape. minimal bubbles squeezed out All with my fingers. didnt need to use credit card at all.

Overall extremely happy with the process and end result. :)
