Those look good! I’m curious to know how the look and feel are compared to the Apple clear case. Because I like the feel of the Apple clear case (instead of the Spigen’s for example). Also, are the from Power Support less bulkier then the Apple clear case?
I own both the Air Jacket Clear Case and Apple Clear Case for my iPhone 12 Pro Max Gold. Here are some random bullet points:
Air Jacket Clear Case:
-appears truly clear (not cloudy)
-but there are very faint small dots everywhere but you really have to look for them up close
-no branding
-very thin, not as thin as those peel cases which I believe are more flimsy in nature
-not as slippery as Apple clear case
-hard plastic
-tight fit, hard to take off, worries me that it’ll crack if I put it on/take it off a lot
-MagSafe charger works (i.e., charges the phone) and if you hold the phone, the MagSafe charger will not fall off unless you slightly-moderately shake it; phone will fall off if you hold it by the charger. Same goes for MagSafe wallet. Honestly, the wallet is too insecure (ie magnet is not strong enough for me) with this case to use it via MagSafe
-all buttons (volume rocker, power button, mute switch obviously) are cut out; my wife (has the air jacket for iPhone 12 pro) actually complains that despite the case being so thin, the cut outs are kind of annoying because the buttons are harder to press/reach due to the cut out; I know what she means but it didn’t really bother me that much.
-There’s also a strange gap at the bottom where the lightning cable goes in
Apple Clear Case:
-truly clear, no dots
-branding of white MagSafe circle. To be honest, I hated it at first when it was launched but once I got it, I sorta like it/don’t hate it. It’s kinda “iconic” now as the apple case just like the iPhone notch and home buttons are. Honestly, if you’re getting a clear case, you’re getting it to “show off” the color, whether it’s to yourself or to others. And what other better way to “show off” than with an obvious branding like the white MagSafe circle haha
-bulkier than Air Jacket
-has more of that jelly-like appearance due to the additional bulk
-benefit of MagSafe
-slipperier than Air Jacket but it’s not as bad as some people on the forum made it out to be. It’s definitely manageable for me at least.
-only cutouts for mute switch.
-power button and volume rockers are harder to press but not as difficult as some people on the forum made it out to be. Again, it’s manageable for me at least.
On a side note, this is the first time I am owning a max/plus side iPhone so I thought I needed a popsocket/ring holder of some sort to help with my small hands. Honestly, the max isn’t as cumbersome to handle as I imagined even with my below-average hand size. I tried the pop socket first and it was not as nice as I thought - bulky, not as comfortable to hold as I wanted, no magnet. I then purchased a magnetic ring holder from Amazon for $8 so that I could use my magnetic car vent mount since the MagSafe wouldn’t magnetize with it well. But strangely enough, the one I purchased matches perfectly in terms of color with the back of the gold iPhone. Its also way more discreet/small compared to a popsocket and I love laying my phone down propped up by the right so that the phone is at an angle with the right side of the phone up because it’s so much easier to pick up off the table than when the phone is sitting flush and flat on a table. Furthermore, I just love the security and convenience of being able to hold the phone with a single finger via the ring. Sorry to get off topic with the ring holder but I wish I could still use it while using MagSafe. I’ve completely transitioned to using the Apple Clear Case due to wanting to use the MagSafe wallet.
also, I temporarily Macgyver’d my MagSafe charger as a car mount. The back of the MagSafe charger strongly magnetically attaches to my basic car vent magnetic mount without any additional adhesives. It’s hideous-looking but luckily it’s ugliness is blocked by the large phone itself. Also, I don’t want to wireless charge because I need to plug in to use CarPlay. And I also don’t like how the MagSafe charger + phone gets pretty warm when charging. Anyway, this will be my temporary solution until I get my hands on the Belkin MagSafe car mount.
sorry for going off tangent but hope this helped someone
