I ordered the iphone 13 and going to most likely order the 13 mini as well to try and test it before i return one of them. My current phone is an old iphone SE thats been used for many years. Battery is basically very bad. So when im outside, I would have my connecting charger cable and a powerbank to connect to my iphone SE to charge it if necessary. Thing is i rarely go outside that much nowadays so battery isn't that big of an issue. But many times i would tether from my iphone SE to my laptop and that uses battery a lot.

My question is, could i use my current powerbank with either of these two new iphones? I assume I can't because its not the same cable since those are usb -c? Or what would i need? Because the more i think about it, even if the mini battery isn't as great the as the regular iphone... i am using it at home anyway... so i could have powerbank to charge it?

The brand seem to be called Poweradd on it. But the link i post is a different brand as I an't seem to find this one anymore.

If not, which powerbank do I need?

Another thing I want to add. I will need to carry it while flying as well. So thus the current powerbank I have is no issue at all. Though not sure how they even check it etc. But i know it cant go over mah etc.

But would the one i have work with either of these iphones? If so, i assume it can't give it one full charge? I know with my old iphone SE, it could give it like close to 1.5 full charges. Even though.. my iphone SE battery is very bad etc.

Depends on what cables you carry. Your old cables and charger will work fine with the new phones. You just don't get quick charging.

I don't own any USB-A to lightning cables anymore. I only ever use USB-C to lightning which supports fast charging.

If you want to use those new cables and or your old cables(without fast charging over USB-A), then here are 2 great options for travel(all have PD, power delivery and ca fast charge iPhones):

Smallest, lightest, thinnest PD capable 10,000 mAh battery pack....in the world (I own this and it is great, charges iPhone at 18w, just under max rates):

I also have a few anker battery packs as they are only slightly bigger and heaver, but about half the price(slightly higher power output, 20w, on these):

Just use your old power bank with the new phone. Just needs the traditional iPhone charge cable that has a USB A plug on one end and lightning on the other.

@ronniejoe and others I’d suggest taking some time over at this thread for feedback on what’s good or even scams out there. Posts in there maybe focused more on MagSafe but not all are.

If I want to charge my iphone 13 or 13 mini with the powerbank I already have mentioned earlier,

Is either of these cables good? I assume the first one is better right? The second seem to be much cheaper. But someone here says I need the usb type a?

The thing is my old iphone SE, the cable that I use to charge it to the original 5W adapter and also into the powerbank... is in bad condition.

So will either both those cables work for this?

Again I want to be able to use the power bank for my new iphone 13/13 mini and my old iphone SE. So I want to make sure i'm buying the right cable.

For my iphone 13/13 mini, it came with the lightning cable and I also had bought the 20w adapter as well. So I will use that by itself.

So those two links i posted with dynex... only the second link that is the cheaper one would work? Thus the USB A to lightning? So the Lightning to USB won't work?

i’ll just throw this out there because it’s my experience.. make sure whatever battery you get, check “no fly” lists.. when i went through china they were looking for specific batteries to confiscate them.

Okay disregard the powerbank limit. I brought this over many times without any issue.

My question is which charging cable do I need if I want to be able connect to my old powerbank with the
new iphone 13 mini and also my old iphone SE?

I will be using the usb c to lightning cable with the usb c adapter on my iphone 13 mini in my apartment. But when im outside, I want to have my iphone 13 mini but also bring my old powerbank with me to connect to it and use it. So I want to know which cable do I need for this. Again... my current charging cable that i use for my old iphone SE is bad condition so i need to buy a new one. This old iphone se charging cable, im able to charge it to the original 5W adapter but also, connect it to the old powerbank I have. So this exact cable... I can use it with the new iphone 13 mini to charge to my powerbank right? I believe this cable is the usb type a to lightning charge and cable?

What is the difference between the first link and second link of the dynex cables? Again I want a replacement charging cable for my old iphone SE. Thus this cable im able to charge my iphone SE to the 5W adapter.. .and also able to charge it to my powerbank.

Thus I want to also be able to use the cable to charge my iphone 13 mini to the same powerbank as well. Someone mentioned whatever cable im using right now to charge my old iphone SE.. will work with my the iphone 13 mini to charge it... but I want it to be able to charge with the same powerbank.

So does the first link of the lightning to usb charge and sync cable work? What about the second link of the
usb type a to lightning charge and cable?

So that means I need the second cable? That is the cable I currently have? But what about the first cable?
