They look like baby pacifiers.

Exactly. I thought some little one may mistake these for their binky. You’ll be looking all over for that other Pro earpiece.

That said, cute spring colors... that don’t fit with this device for me. Maybe if the colors were darker shades. Considering the initial colors offered I can see why the decision was made to broaden the offerings.

It's strange to me that the Powerbeats come in 3 fairly classy colors (black, white and red), but the Powerbeats Pro comes in a range in vomit inducing colors (and doesn't include white).
Vomit inducing? Really? You find pastels that revolting? I think they're pretty. Nice to see something other than dull black / blue.

I have a black pair of Powerbeats Pro. Of the original colors the Powerbeats Pro came in black was the only one I could stand (navy would've been nice enough if it wasn't for the tacky pink b). And yes, I do find pastels to be revolting, especially on electronics 🤮, but of course that's just my opinion. I get that Apple wouldn't have made these if they didn't think there were people who would like them! I was mostly expressing surprise at the very different color palettes Apple chose for closely related products... usually the "Pro" line skews towards more professional colors, but the opposite seems to have occurred with the Powerbeats vs the Powerbeats Pro.

What makes black and dark blue intrinsically "more professional" colors? And, remember, we're discussing "professional" here in the context of earphones sold with earloops intended to hold them in your ear while you exercise. Few people exercise in a business suit.

I've grown tired of the groupthink that "no no, pastels and bright colors are only for women and babies". Why? What makes that intrinsically true, rather than just "people act that way"? Do they, say, reflect light differently in a way that is harmful in a given occupation? Now, say, bright colors on a sniper who is trying to hide would be an obvious concern, but few people have that job.

Personal choice - I just don't like pastel colors and based on the comments here I'd say I'm not the only one. I never said that I didn't like bright colors though. I actually had a green iPhone 5c at one point and really liked it.

I do agree that Powerbeats Pro isn't really marketed so much at professionals as it is at the workout crowd (I use mine for outdoor runs...) so a variety of colors is actually a good thing.

I love, LOVE, my PowerBeats Pro. I got a set of AirPods back when they launched, but they didn't fit my ears; maybe my canals and shape of my ear are just too big, but they wouldn't stay in no matter how I tried to angle them. They would fall out even if I was sitting still!
I know the earphones are subjective and different for everyone, but the PBP fit perfect, have a good seal (but not uncomfortably airtight), GREAT battery life, and the H1 chip. The biggest disadvantage is the charging case is huge, compared to AirPods.
So now that I've posted my commercial for PBP, I've got to say I don't like any of the new colors. 😄

Am I the only one who would really want Beats X to make a comeback?

If I’m understanding correctly, Then I question how much experience you actually have with the Beats X, if any. Because the quality control is atrocious, read reviews and there is plenty of empirical data supporting that for what they charge for a ~$99 pair of headphones and the issues that others have encountered within three months is not acceptable. I was a buyer for the beats X about a month ago, and I researched {hundreds} of user/tech reviews, even though the audio isn’t really the issue, the hardware build construction was. Hard pass. The ‘biggest thing’ beats has going for them, is the branding and definitely the color combinations they offer, but other than that, I think there’s a lot of other competitors that don’t suffer the issues that they do.

A pair of Beats X were my primary headphones for about 2 years (until December 2019) and never had any issues with it. Not disputing that some people had issues, just that not everyone did.

I wonder how they selected these colors. These are very Easter like.

The soft yellow is probably the best one IMO. I'm not touch any of them.

I have none. I just like the form factor, and if they were upgraded to the H1 chip, I might buy them. (I don't like the colors much, though.)

Well, they also integrate nicely with iOS and macOS.

I think the colors aren't as bad as it seems when they're displayed together like in the image shown.

They kind of match the colors on the iPhone 11/xR, which is nice for slightly OCD folks like myself. ;)

I hope that they still have them in black and white (ivory) also, for those that find the new colors unappealing.

Those colors will definitely not be most popular choice, but they will be a selective choice for somebody that probably would rather have the color that suits their personality. I give credit to manufactures that offer more color choices, because it usually translates to a ‘wider demographic‘ creating more sales. If Enjoy the product at it meets the consumers expectations, at least choose the color that best fits your personality as pictured above.
Yes I agree and I think Beats has had a harder edge in terms of the audience that it traditionally appealed to compared to Apple and it might be a good idea to cast a wider net in terms of their demographic.

Wonder what demographic Apple is targeting with the newer pastel colored powerbeats pros?
I like bright colors but it's somewhat weird, for the lack of a better word, seeing pastel colors for earphones.
If I had to choose, it'll be the red or yellow versions.
