Apple's Powerbeats Pro totally wireless earphones officially went on sale today in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, as predicted. However, the fitness-focused, Beats-branded earphones are only available in black, and stock appears to be limited.

As of writing, Apple's online UK store is switching between allowing customers to add the earphones to their bag, and graying out the Add to Bag button to prevent them from doing so. Delivery dates are also flipping between June 6-10 and "coming soon."

If you're having trouble ordering Powerbeats Pro via Apple's online store, try the Apple Store iOS app, as it appears to be allowing more orders to go to checkout. Customers can also try their luck ordering through the Beats website, which is quoting similar delivery dates.

Powerbeats Pro cost £219.95 in the UK and 249.95 euros in France and Germany. They're Apple's first totally wireless Beats earphones, featuring the same H1 chip as the second-generation AirPods for hands-free "Hey Siri" and faster connection speeds between the iPhone, Apple Watch, and other devices. They last up to nine hours per charge, with more battery life available on the go via an included charging case.

Powerbeats Pro are similar to traditional earbuds, with silicone tips that nestle in the ear and an earhook to hold them firmly in place. The silicone tips come in four sizes, but the earhooks, which wrap around the ear, are one size, and make sure the Powerbeats Pro stay firmly in place during physical activity.

The earphones are initially available in black only, with ivory, moss, and navy colors set to become available this summer, although Apple cautions that color availability is subject to change.

Powerbeats Pro have been on sale in Canada and the U.S. since early May. In June they will be available in Australia, Singapore, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Austria, Italy, Spain, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, Mexico, and Brazil.

Ordered at 7:33am this morning having checked the Apple website by chance. Delivery date of 6-10 June as well. Pleased with that as I'm off on a hiking trip at the start of July which I'll be needing these for.

Ordered mine through the website for delivery to the UK. I didn't mind whether I had the Black or Navy but as I want them soonest I ordered the black.

Ordered just past 7 AM in the UK and now they've added a disclaimer/warning: This item will take longer than usual to ship. We'll send you an update soon.

Just ordered mine (Germany). Delivery between the 6th and 11th of June, which seems to be the case for most people. The orders are open since a couple of hours already so maybe the stock for the EU is better than for the US where they were severely backordered within hours.

Weirdly, I had the opposite experience as described in the article: the Apple Store app still showed them as "coming soon" when I checked there, but the website had the option to order them.

Well, even hours after preorders opened the estimated shipping date is still the same. Seems like there is not a lot of demand.

How come they can't release colours at the same time? But they tell us they are coming. Or maybe not (the disclaimer at the bottom of the order page).

Will this be like the wireless charging pad? Suddenly cancelled some time?

These things are just plastic. Can it really be that hard to make multiple colours? Really?

More likely they expect demand to be high and they can't ramp up production.

So why not just announce one colour you can deliver now/soon?

Airpods were hard to get for a long time. It was what it was. Can be the same for phones when released. We all know when you have to ramp up a product into millions there can be issues. A few months time and the supply chain will sort itself out. That might have been a better time to announce more colours. (And to me the options offered are fairly awful looking but hey you look at the range of colours in Beats headphones already that have evolved and you know these four colours will just be the beginning of seasonal refereshes for years to come).

As someone else said, if you dont like them don't buy them.

Certainly the way I feel about the iPad mini and iPod touch. Both nice products. Nothing revolutionary. Nice to still see hanging around. But the price for recycled tech? Too high. Especially the memory increments. Apple seriously need to get real about memory prices when SD and USB memory is at all time lows. A cheap Android phone with an SD card is so much better value for just playing music. Some even have better DACs for higher quality files.

Yes the AppStore is missing. Even if Apple had made the iPod screen 4.7" it would have been something. A 5.5" screen would have been a Nintendo Switch competitor. Guessing they dont expect/want to sell many. Just feels like a lazy cash grab. "Keep it the same design, bump this, bump that, dont do too much". And "keep the price high - when we dont sell many we can kill it off without complaints."

Anyone have an actual release date for those countries (specifically Singapore)? The original articles I read said May, well it's not May, the apple store website just says "coming this summer", and that's not just for the other colours, it's for all of them. I think these are going to be my new gym gear when I can hold of a pair. This feels very like the introduction of Airpods, Apple can't make them fast enough.

So that people can decide in advance which color they want to get and whether or not it's worth waiting for. It's the much more consumer-friendly approach to announce all colors right from the start, even if some of them take longer to release (probably due to differences in production/supply chains, remember the white iPhone 4?) than it is to announce and release one color, then announce and release the next color 2 months later, then wait another few months before announcing the next color and so on.

I'd also be happier if all four colors were already available right now, but since that seemingly wasn't possible, I think Apple took the next-best choice of getting one color out now so that people who want that color are already satisfied, while announcing all other colors up-front too so that nobody buys one color only to end up liking another one better that he previously didn't know about. Not every announcement needs to happen days before the release of the product; for the consumer it's oftentimes much better to know about new products as early as possible so that he has more time to plan his purchases accordingly.

Or supply is much higher compared to when they initially launched almost a month ago for the US. Probably a lot of time for Apple to stock up on them for distribution in more countries.

Also, I just checked and the delivery date here in Germany has now slipped to 12-19th June on Apple's website (as opposed to the 6-11th June delivery window that I got when I ordered yesterday). So one day of wait already results in getting them a week later for people ordering them now. So I imagine it could easily slip back even more over the next few days. Glad I ordered mine yesterday already.

Mine is the showing the same... That’s a weird order status isn’t it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Apple use that before?

Similar disclaimer with mine. I took that to mean that it won't dispatch within a day of ordering (which is what you would usually expect). It still states the delivery window. If the window wasn't accurate then I'd imagine they would remove it.

Mine shows the same. I know there’s been issues with supply and hence deliveries in the US so not sure what to expect here. I don’t expect Apple to make the same mistake twice but who knows.

Delivery window is still 6-10 June.
