PowerBook 12" Wont boot.

Hi Im thinking about buying this powerbook which wont boot link here. What do you think could be causing the problems? a faulty HD or Ram? Is it worth it. I could probably resell it if i couldn't get it going.

It would a number of things:
Faulty...
-RAM
-HDD
-Logic board

the seller just added this "It gets stuck on a grey screen. There is also a funny black line above the apple logo" what could this indicate a faulty logic board?
