no

1) get the 12'' and save the extra money to buy more ram. (in my mind 2 more inches, and a backlit keyboard isnt worth $300)
2) take advantage of the free pod promo.
3) dont wait till paris, no major upgrades

its a no brainer

yes

well gonna get the 1.67 15"pb , i want the lit keyboard and the extra screen real estate, and we will see at the end of the month

I just went with the 15"/1.67Ghz/128MB VRAM/Superdrive/1.5GB RAM, and im stoked. I think the 15" really is the perfect size. 17" would be nice once you get somewhere, open it up and get rolling, but getting there would seem to be a bit cumbersome. Plus if you are ever in tight spaces, like a classroom, airplane, etc. then I would think that the extra 2 inch's could make a considerable difference. Weight really isn't an issue in my mind.

Viva la 15"!!!!!!!!!!

Both machines are great! Is good to select the one that you feel is what you want - then ENJOY it without regret! I know I have - and the entire range of PB + Mac OS X + applications is such a joy that I hope you won't ever look back!

I, like most of the people in this thread, would suggest the 15, you reasons for it (20" iMac already, portability etc) are exactly what I would post again. Though, I would Absolutely WAIT until the expo. It's only a couple of weeks and even if there isn't that much of an update, the price will drop. I think it would be crazy to buy one now, with updates so close, especially if screen resolution goes up, possible due to Steve's year of HD claims (really the only difference between the 15 & 17 right now is resolution). I'd be kicking myself if I could get a better laptop for the same price or cheaper if I only waited another 17 days.

You'll love it no matter what
Awesome machines

1) 15" has the worst battery.
2) 2" more is not too big.
3) Once you go 17", you won't want to go back.

It all comes to the price. Do you have enough for the 17"

honestly price isnt that big of a issue i just wouldnt mind picking up the 20" display for the difference between the two
