Powerbook 170 Sound Files migration

Hey there,

Found my old Powerbook 170 and saw that there were some sound files of my grandmother singing and talking on it. Since I do want to keep these files I thought to move them on a disk to another computer. This works, but... I cannot play these files on my computer (iMac with OS Snow Leopard). Tried VLC, Quicktime, RealPlayer, nothing! The file also does not have an extension...

Any suggestion on how I can play these files? Is there a trick?

what did you use to play them on the powerbook

What type of sound files are they? Get info (cmd-I) on the file and it will tell you what kind it is.
