    Hi all

I have a 17" PowerBook, nearly 3 years old now. It was the last PowerBook before the intel switch.

I think my battery pack has packed in! A couple of weeks ago the light on the charger would go out and the battery would stop charging. However if I moved the charger about (wiggle the wires etc) it would come back on anf charge fine.

Then last week it packed in completely and just wouldn't work. So I've bought another charger thinking that would solve the problem. This didn't help though as it just does the exact same thing and randomly doesnt charge. Also when 40% is left the laptop just shuts down and wont turn on again for a few hours.

So I think I need to replace my battery. Am I right in thinking this will do the trick: http://store.apple.com/uk/product/M9326G/A

Has anyone else had this problem at all, and if so how did it get sorted? Really dont want to have to buy a new laptop so hopefully I can just get a new battery.

Thanks for any help in advance. Cheers, A-J :apple:
