That happened to my PB when I dropped it. I took it to Apple and they said, "Oh sure, just give us about $700+ and we'll fix it up for you." So I took it home, covered a mini hammer with a towel and pushed/bent it into shape. The Apple tech guy actually told me to do this. But not to hammer/hit it in.

Had something similar but not so bad with my baby a little while ago. I didn't dare to do the hammer thing myself so I went to the apple store where I bought it. They repaired (hammered) it for free and everything was fine again. :D The guys at an apple store know far better how much hammering the machine can take, as they have done this probably often. Maybe they do it for you too if you find a friendly apple store...

just make sure they pull the part out then hammer it. hard drives don't take well to hammers.
