Powerbook Fans, always on?

See the weird thing is they come on the second I plug something in the USB-ports, the same second I unplug it I hear the fans instantly calming down. Its buggin the hell outta me. Even my usb-key 512 makes the fans rev up. 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

Id really appreciate some input, is this normal? I mean the scond I unplug whatever is in the USB-port the fans calm down. Should I pay my local applestore a visit? This is really buggin me. I was gonna use my external 250gb drive for mp3s rather than keep them on my pb but no way am I doing that now that the fans r going nuts with anything connected to USB. What is this? 🙁

Connecting things through USB or firewire tends to cause the fans to kick in a little bit - it's normal. If the USB connected device is a pretty hefty one, all the more reason for the fans to speed up.
