I am about to upgrade to Tiger, i have a newer PB, (one in my sig) do i need to update the firmware before installing? I don't think i do but i want to make sure so i don't screw anything up.

Well I have a REV A PB and I didn't need to do any update, the firmware update would only be for those machines that were older and didn't come with OS X on them

There isn't a firmware update for you to do, so no.
