PowerBook G4 12"

Now got Tiger installed. Picked up a retail disc locally for £15.

Have also installed TenFourFox and MacTubes. Is there anything else that you would recommend installing?

I would like to install Illustrator and PhotoShop but not sure which versions will work. I have been using Illustrator 8 and Photoshop 5.5 on PC so would like newer versions if possible.

Still got noisy HDD when booting from cold and have tried 3 different drives now. Thinking it must be a bad cable? Also still getting occasional artifacts on screen.

According to Adobe, the maximum Photoshop you can run on G4 is CS3. Your PowerBook's GPU has only 32MB of VRAM but I dont' know how much it affects performance. Also I don't know if CS4 is totally incompatible even though it only lists G5, I think it will run but probably be on the sluggish side.

I believe AI 10 and AI CS & CS2 work Ok on OS X so will take a look on eBay and see what I can find.

Note that Adobe has shut down the activation servers, so you will have to use the serial number provided here.
