Guys,

Does anyone know which power supply the 12" Powerbook G4 867Mhz Aluminium (the original, maybe not the best!) came with?

My Google-senses are giving me conflicting answers. Anyone know which of the following is correct...

A1021 - 65W
A1036 - 45W

I know that later and larger Powerbooks require 65W, but I'm wondering whether the G4 867 was happy with 45W.

My original Apple adapter is long gone, it died from the cable-shear feature common to many of its brethren.

Around three Macally adapters have also died on me since then. However, I notice that some less-well-known, but I'm sure still legit, sellers are offering "original" Apple power adapter bricks for decent prices.

My question remains, does my Powerbook require 45W or 65W?

From Apple's PDF about PowerBook G4 867MHz:
45W power adapter with cable management system

So, your PB should be happy with 45W. Hope it helps!

Thanks, it certainly does help!

Do you have a URL for that PDF? I can't find it in the labyrinth that is Apple's support website!
