PowerBook G4 867mhz memory?

Hi!!

Is it possible for me to put a 1g memory stick in my PowerBook 12inch 867mhz? The reason why I'm asking this, is because when you check the apple store, the maximum memory is 512mb. But if you check elsewhere, you can buy the 1g stick. Some places says that the computer will recognize only 512mb, even if you put the 1g.

Any advices??

According to Mactracker.ca, the max possible RAM is 1152MB. And since there's 128MB on the logicboard, a 1024MB SO-DIMM is possible. Buy from a reputable source.
