Hello all!

I have a 17" aluminum PowerBook G4 but with no display! I get a boot up sound and can hear the discs spinning, but nothing else after that. The screen turns blue ish white, and when I move my finger on the trackpad I can almost see pixels move around so I'm notnsure as to what to do? Any help would be appreciated!

Time to buy a new computer. Sounds like either the display is toast or there's a problem with the graphics output on the logic board.

Do you have an external monitor you can plug into the PowerBook?

You could use that to tell you if just the display on the PowerBook is broken or if something else hardware related (like the video board or the logic board) is broken.

If the external monitor works, just the display is broken (or the cable going through the hinge to the display). If the external monitor is the same, the logic board or video board are toast.

In either case, it's going to be cheeper just to get a new (or used) laptop of some sort than to fix it.
