Hey there all long time no talk, hey quick question for everyone, i just installed a new 80gb hdd from a buddy of mine that gave it to me in my 12" 1ghz 768 mb ram. i took the old one out and installed the new one but when i installed it and put everyting back together it only read it as a 66gb drive let alone when i tried to format the drive it gave me a i/o error. not only that but when i took the drive out then reinstalled the old drive i notice that one of the pins was missing where the master slave pins are, i put it back in the powerbook but nothing came up just the blinking usual folder where there is no o/s anythoughts as what could be the issue? im very baffled and sort of frusterated. thanks :)

make sure your jumper settings are set up for master drive on Hard Drive.
