Powerbook G4 Horizontal Screen Issue

Hey guys

My Mac has just developed an annoying problem. Lines running across the screen. I can get them to go away if I press the case together at each side of the laptop but as soon as I let go it returns... Its like the case has opened up somehow and is causing this problem.

Does anyone know how hard it is to replace the screen if I buy a spare one from ebay?

It's a known issue. A screen replacement would be costly. I'd either look around for quick, cheap fixes, or (more likely) sell it on Craigslist/eBay and start saving for a *book. I've never heard of anyone's screen problems going away on their own.

Damn it that's what I figured...

What a pain

there is a dude selling a broken mac on ebay just now for spares so I was considering buying that to try and replace the screen myself to fix it.
