Hi, I have a G4 PowerBook that I have been trying to install Linux on. I tried installing the GUI desktop, but when I use the “apk add plasma-desktop sddm” command, all of the install files say “permission denied”?

Yes, I have tried to repeat setup, but I either get “Permission Denied” or “Temporary Error”

Check that your date and time settings are correct. By default they won't be and will cause network issues.

Im surprised you even got that far. I run Linux on almost all my powerpc's and adelie would only boot on one of my 3 G5's, and none of my 3 powerbooks.

You are better off with Void or Debian anyway as Adelie hasnt been updated in a few years.

I’d rather stick with Linux for now. MorphOS is more than I paid for the PowerBook. Any idea why it would deny permission?
