Hi, I have a G4 PowerBook that I have been trying to install Linux on. I tried installing the GUI desktop, but when I use the “apk add plasma-desktop sddm” command, all of the install files say “permission denied”?
Check that your date and time settings are correct. By default they won't be and will cause network issues.
Im surprised you even got that far. I run Linux on almost all my powerpc's and adelie would only boot on one of my 3 G5's, and none of my 3 powerbooks.
You are better off with Void or Debian anyway as Adelie hasnt been updated in a few years.
I have morphos registered on my G4 mini, but it cant do half of what ppc Linux or even ancient tiger/leopard can do. Its fun to tinker with sure, but it lacks in quite a few areas as far as software is concerned.
