After a couple of minutes on my new MBP, I found that there were no longer energy settings like 'save battery', 'normal', 'better performance'.

Now I find it very difficult to estimate how long I will be able to work on it. Also with the new GPU switching technology, the battery indicator easily switches from 7 hours to 2,5 hours.

Maybe I just need to get confortable with it.

You should be able to set it up in system profile...
